Do you sell locks?
Yes, we have several choices of high security locks available for sale in our store; see a Stow-It team member for details.
How do I choose the correct size unit?
We offer a variety of sizes to suit your storage needs. Please visit our facilities & rates page for detailed information on choosing the right size for you.
What does Climate Controlled Storage mean?
At our facility Climate Controlled means heated, cooled, dehumidified and air purified.
Do I need insurance for the things I store at your facility?
Storage insurance is not mandatory but it is highly recommended. We believe that if your items are worth storing they are worth insuring.
When can I access my unit?
You have 24 hour access to your unit.
Do you offer storage for Boats / RV's / Trailers / Motorcycles?
Yes, we have 2 sizes available;
- for vehicles up to 20 feet.
- for vehicles up to 40 feet.
How far in advance can I book a unit?
You can book a unit one month in advance.
How much notice do I need to give when I am moving out?
Two weeks minimum – if you are requesting prorated rent for a partial month, we require a month’s notice.
Is there someone on site to answer my questions?
All sites have friendly, highly trained and dedicated Stow-It team members available in store during normal business hours. We are happy to assist you with all you storage and moving needs.
What are your payment options?
Credit card or cheque are accepted at our kiosk, and you can also pay online by creating an account.
When are payments due?
The date that the contract is signed is your anniversary date.
Do you charge late fees?
Yes, late fees will be charged according to your lease agreement.

- You may pay online by credit card or bank transfer by setting up an account
- You may preauthorize monthly automatic bank transfer or credit card payments by completing our PAP form or online.
- You may mail monthly or postdated cheques
- You may mail money orders
What kind of documentation is required to rent a storage unit?
A valid driver’s license is required.
How do you keep track of who enters and exits the property?
Video cameras and the automated gate key pad record all visitors to our site.
Do I have to sign a long term contract with Stow It?
A minimum of one month is required.
How high are the ceilings?
Units with ceiling lights are 8′ and units without ceiling lights are 14′ at the peak.
How wide are the doors?
Depending on the size of the unit between 3′ and 8′
Do you supply packing materials?
Yes, we sell packing materials.
Do you send invoices?
Yes, if requested they are sent one week prior to due date.
Do you provide receipts?
Yes, you may request a receipt.
